Welcome to Our Family Place Library!

The Lansdowne Public Library for is proud to be a Family Place Library™.
Families in our community are doing a great job, let us help support you! We at the library strengthen families through community spaces, parenting collection, events, and play. We connect you with child development specialists and activities that are fun and engaging you can bring home to help your tiny tots get school ready.
The Family Place model is designed to spur cognitive development in children under the age of 3 with the help of their caregivers. It also provides a venue for Parent/Child workshops, connecting parents with resources, programs and services offered at the library and other family service agencies and facilitates early learning with books and toys.

We have a collection of Kid Kits and Grand Kits full of books, games, toys, and tools you can check out and bring home with your child. Lots of fun topics to share; trains, dinosaurs, dentists, instrument/music and more!
Workshop
One to three years.
Over the course of five weeks, spend time together, play, make friends, and talk one-on-one with specialists on child development.
We offer Family Place workshops two times each year. Check our calendar on our website, or email Maria McLaughlin for more information or to register for the next workshop.
