What Happens to your Donations?
The Friends are happy to accept donations from individuals and businesses who wish to give large amounts. We can also apply for and receive grants on behalf of the Library.
Donations to the Friends of the Lansdowne Public Library are used entirely and exclusively for the benefit of Lansdowne Public Library, in coordination with the Executive Director and the Board of Trustees. FLPL is a 501(C3) non-profit organization, therefore, for all donations you may take a charitable deduction off your taxes.
The library provides a lively civic center for our small borough. Whether patrons read a novel to leave their cares aside for a while, join the History club, attend information sessions, expand their knowledge through nonfiction, enjoy a puppet show, keep up with events in the newspaper and magazine section, check out how-to books for house projects, use the computers, or research business information, the Library adds to the quality of life and the local economy.
We need your donations to help the library respond to the needs of a wide range of patrons. The Friends thank you for doing your part!

The Nickel Mile
Help us wrap Lansdowne in nickels! One roll of nickels = $2 = 3 inches • 4 rolls = $8 = 1 foot • 5,280 rolls = $10,560 = 1/4 mile
21,120 rolls = $42,240 = One Mile!
Next time you're in the library, check for the Friends' raffle basket! Several times a year, the Friends put together a large basket of seasonal items. We also appreciate donations for the basket if you have items that would tantalize our patrons!
Great Bargains! The Friends maintains 6 large bookshelves in the Bany Room to sell donated books, CDs, and some DVDs year round. Check it out when you're in the Library -- new items come in frequently. If you have items you think others would like to buy, call the Library at 610-623-0239 to make arrangements.
Annual membership is a $25 per household or $20 per individual donation to the Friends. You can leave your contribution at the Library desk, or mail it to:
